We literally had children spontaneously crying today. Spontaneous tears in the middle of the day and no explanation. Seriously?Seriously?
One child was in need of an exorcism with his devilish screams and the other child was pitifully bawling and kept telling me she didn't know why,

Lord. What are ya'll doing over there, woman?!?
Seriously? (heh) I wouldn't consider the crying anywhere near outside the realm of normal for the first full week of school.
Hard to manage? Yes. Out of the ordinary? No. (Even if everything seemed hunky-dorey earlier. Those first few days are emotionally draining for everyone involved).
On the bright side: Yay! Week One and Week Two are officially over. And you made it! Whoo hoo for you :)
