Okay, the weird thing is.

I came home tonight and my door was wide open. I remember locking it? I guess not good enough.

I think my cat pushed it open. I walked in loudly and turned on all the lights. No creepy men and my computer was still in the middle of the floor.

H.o.l.y Hell.

I'm having weird flashbacks browsing the new clothing lines for this season. Am I in the eighth grade again? Because I seriously wore things like this:

Sure it's missing the one stripe on the chest and an Abercrombie and Fitch logo, but it's close enough. I'm not ready for this comeback.

I think I owned this skirt:

It's safe to say I'm going to be a little unfashionable this winter.

Oh, another thing to love about Fall:

my new shoes.

Laundrytown

I have found few regrets about moving. There is a big huge hassle here, however, that was nonexistent on Bolling: coin laundry.

So I didn't actually do more laundry when I had my own machine, but I could do an emergency load late at night when the only underwear left (even after the reserves) are thongs. Them don't fly with the kids and low-rise pants.

I started my first load since moving tonight (no no, it's not gross. My mom did a basket full when I had shingles) and am smiling over the delicious scent of my laundry detergent.

At least I figured out a good motivation.

the deal.

I am homesick. And not just for New Jersey (though I do really miss it); I'm homesick for my old life. I blame Facebook. I keep rediscovering old friends and am more intimately involved with the lives and thoughts of high school classmates than I ever was in high school...and that makes me miss New Jersey more than ever.

Last weekend I found a DSW an hour and a half away. They didn't have my size in the shoes I wanted so then I was faced with either ordering online for full price or hoping to drive back next week and find the right size. Never really an issue when the mall mecca of the world, Paramus, NJ, is only a few miles away.

I think this can be chalked up to boredom. I probably read too many blogs about other cities and I don't mean to mislead: I heart Charlottesville. Right now I just crave variety and more shopping choices.

To be positive, however, I have a cozy new apartment I never want to leave and really pretty plants.
